A Durban Family Photographer | Warm, Intimate, Unscripted Storytelling
I'm a qualified foundation phase teacher, a mom to a wild-hearted two-year-old boy, and now, a photographer with one mission: to help families press pause on the beautiful chaos of parenting and hold onto it.
This journey began with my own family. I wanted to be in our memories, not just the archivist of them. That desire turned my hobby into a mission: to give other Durban mums the gift of being present, both in the moment and in the photographs that last a lifetime.
My approach is simple: I handle the chaos so you don't have to. My teaching background means I'm not flustered by meltdowns or mess. In fact, I encourage them. Bring the sticks, the dirt, and the real emotions. My sessions are unscripted playdates at meaningful spots like Kloof's Memorial Park—a place full of light, tall trees, and streams that feels like home to me.
During our session, I encourage real interaction over posing. I might ask you to walk, whisper a secret, or simply watch your children play. I'm listening for the laughter and watching for the quiet touches. My focus is on the magic that happens between the poses: the connection, the snuggle, the uncontrollable giggle that tells your true story.
My greatest compliment is hearing you plan to print these photos. Because these aren't just files; they're your personal time capsule. A way to remember exactly how life felt when your children were this small.
If you want warm, intimate photographs that celebrate your real, beautiful story, I would be honoured to tell it.
